Surabaya, Indonesia – STAI Taruna Surabaya proudly announces its inaugural international conference, The 1st International Conference on Fiqh, Islamic Studies, and Civilization for Sustainable Society (ICoFICSS 2026), scheduled for Friday-Saturday, 16-17 October 2026, at 14:00 WIB (GMT+7) via Zoom.
Under the leadership of General Chair of the Conference, Dr. Nasiri, M.H.I., M.H., M.A., ICoFICSS 2026 aims to bridge classical Fiqh tradition with the modern challenges of building a sustainable society, featuring world-renowned scholars from six countries.
Distinguished Keynote Speakers
The conference will feature four eminent keynote speakers:

- Syakhi Dr. Nasruddin Al-Misry – Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt

A special highlight of this year’s tracks is the in-depth discussion on Islamic learning models from Sudan (Khalwa System), India (Deoband Model), and Nigeria (Tsangaya System) – directly connected to the three main papers in the proceedings.
The conference will also feature 10 selected presenters from lecturers and postgraduate students, including students from Al-Azhar University Cairo, and will be moderated by Ainur Rif’ah, http://M.Pd and Dr. Saiul Anah, http://M.Pd.
